Tees Valley Lakes
Yarm Lake
The Tranquil Depths of Yarm Lake Nestled within a serene valley, shielded from the strongest winds by mature farmland, lies Yarm Lake, a hidden gem transformed into a premier specimen carp fishing destination. Once a coarse fishing lake, Yarm was revitalized in early 2023 to become a members-only venue under the Tees Valley Lakes umbrella, offering a peaceful and exclusive angling experience. Yarm Lake is approximately one acre in size, with depths ranging from 3 to 6 feet, providing a varied and interesting challenge for anglers. The lake’s layout is thoughtfully designed for comfort and accessibility, featuring a single and double swim dedicate along the North and East bank.
Angling Opportunities * Single Swim (North Bank): This swim provides an excellent spot for a solitary angler seeking tranquility and a chance to fish to the northern corner of the lake.
* Double Swim (Center): For those fishing with a friend or who simply desire more space, the large and comfortable double swim in the center of the lake is the perfect choice. This generous swim can accommodate one or two anglers, offering a prime position to fish the central features. Bookable as a single or double swim.
Anglers will find a variety of features to target, including a prominent bar and plateau as well as classic reed fringe edging and overhanging trees that provides natural cover for the carp.
A New Beginning: The transformation of Yarm Lake began in January 2023 with the careful removal of all coarse fish. This was followed by the introduction of a new selection of specimen carp. To ensure a thriving and high-quality stock, more carp were added in subsequent years. The lake officially opened to members in April 2023, offering a fresh start for both the fish and the anglers who now call it home. Accessibility is a key feature of Yarm Lake, with a convenient lakeside car park providing easy access to all the swims. This makes it a perfect spot for those who value a quick and hassle-free start to their fishing session. If you’re a carp angler looking for a tranquil, well-stocked, and feature-rich lake to call your own, Yarm Lake offers a superb and exclusive opportunity.Â
