Lake Rules
WE HAVE A ZERO TOLERANCE TO RULE BREAKING WHICH WILL RESULT IN AN INSTANT BAN FOR ANYONE CAUGHT, (IGNORANCE IS NO EXCUSE)

Tees Valley Lakes – Lake Rules

Membership & Access :
- Members Only: Fishing is strictly for members. You must possess and carry a valid Membership Card at all times. No Card = No Fishing.
- Non-Fishing Guests (NFG): One guest is permitted per member. Guests must share the member’s bivvy and must be booked/paid for in advance.
- Third-Party Drop-offs: Drivers must remain in the car park area. Walking around the lakes is not permitted for non-members.
- Eagle Lake Only: Park vehicles in upper car park only (loading/unloading from layby).
Tickets & Times
- Gate Codes: Access is granted once the gate code text is received at 10:00 AM.
- Day Tickets: 10:00 AM – 9:00 PM (Must be off-Lake by 9 PM).
- 24hr Tickets: 10:00 AM – 10:00 AM (Must be off-Lake by 10 AM).
- Early Bird: Available (6 AM start) via text to Fishery mobile no. on members card. (subject to availability)
Fish Care & Welfare
- Provided Equipment Only: You must use the fishery-provided landing nets, unhooking mats, weigh slings, and water buckets. Do not bring your own onto the site.
- Propolis Treatment: All members must carry and use Propolis carp treatment. Apply to hook holds and any body/scale damage (avoiding eyes and gills).
- Handling: All weighing and camera equipment must be ready before removing fish from the water. Return fish as quickly as possible.
- Carp protection: Ensure the mat and sling are thoroughly soaking wet before use.
- Retaining Fish: No retaining of fish under any circumstances.
- Stock Protection: No fish may be removed from or introduced to the water.

Tackle & Rig Requirement
- Hooks: Barbless only. NO crushed barbs, NO bent hooks
- Line: Minimum 15lb mainline and hook link. NO braided mainline.
- Rod Setup: Max 3 rods. Minimum 2.75lb test curve. Alarms and bobbins must be used.
- Safety Rigs: Rig tubing or leaders MUST be used (NO Naked Line) (NO braid leaders). Leads must be running or semi-fixed; leads must detach easily.
- Prohibited Items: NO Zig fishing, NO “Magic Twigs,” self-hooking devices, float fishing, or artificial baits (plastic/rubber/foam/cork).
- Attendance: Rods must never be left unattended.
- Surface Fishing: Permitted with controller float, (min 12lb hook link – NO artificial/foam/rubber/cork baits).
Bait Rules
- March – October: Strictly Boilie and Pellet only
- November – February: Particles can be used (Hemp, corn, seeds, pulses, etc.), Maggots, and Worms are permitted
- Strictly Prohibited: NO artificial/foam/rubber/cork baits, NO NUTS of any kind at any time. NO Zig fishing,
On-Site Conduct & EnvironmentÂ
- Litter: Zero tolerance for litter. Take all rubbish home, including cigarette butts. Leave your swim spotless
- Shelters: Recognized carp bivvies or brollies only. NO standard camping gear. Bivvies must be pitched on gravel swims, never on the grass.
- Prohibited on Site: Drugs, drones, dogs, guns, fires, swimming, or loud music.
- Alcohol: Moderate consumption only.
- Etiquette: Please fish in a gentlemanly manner; do not encroach on other swims when occupied.
- Juniors: Anglers aged 17 and under must be supervised by an adult (18+) at all times.
Legal & Liability Liability:
- All members fish at their own risk: The fishery is not responsible for any injury, accident, or loss of property.
- Management Rights: We reserve the right to withdraw or suspend membership at any time. All management decisions are final.
- Refunds: Memberships and tickets are non-transferable and non-refundable.
- Enforcement: Rule-breaking will result in an instant ban and immediate removal from the premises without a refund.
Fishing on Tees Valley Lakes by MEMBERS only, Visitors are NOT permitted at any time, One non fishing  guest ticket permitted per session booked in advance (see ticket prices) or authorised by management (this includes Children, No exceptions) This is to ensure anglers are not disturbed and the fishery is secure at all times.
